FogHorn was established in 2014. We genuinely wanted to bring our decades of beer-making experience, American foodie expertise and eclectic music tastes to the heart of Newcastle.
What is now a thriving restaurant, live music venue and local brewery was once another abandoned building in the sleepy CBD. We saw the warehouse’s incredible potential to play a role in rejuvenating the city and decided to build Newcastle’s first craft brewery. Since our beginnings, we’ve watched locals come eat, drink and play music as the city has grown livelier and livelier around us. We’ve proudly played a part in this revitalisation.
FogHorn Brewhouse stays true to the industrial roots of Newcastle, featuring an 1800 litre brewery and four 1800-litre-serving tanks.
At FogHorn the beer goes directly from the tank to your glass – you can’t get any fresher than that.
Along with the brewery, our bar and restaurant seats up to 250.
Our plan was to take our creative beer range, our handmade meals and our unique music venue to a wider audience. In autumn 2016 we launched FogHorn Brewhouse Erina. We delivered our unique flavours, innovative style and genuine passion for craft beer and local food. The bands started playing and the party has been pumping ever since.
While our brewery will always be located in Newcastle within our historic art-deco warehouse, we keep Erina well-stocked with at least nine craft brews on tap including an original English-made hand pump. We also make the same great, tried and true food that you find in Newcastle, with some local variations tailored to suit the Central Coast tastebuds.
